Grace. You deserve it, Mama.

Anyone else have a hard time putting yourself first? Do you break your own promises to yourself or find yourself saying “yes” when your mind is screaming, “NO?!?” If you can relate then you, just like me, need to remember to take time for self-love. ❤️ Believe me when I say, “I’m still a work in progress 🙋🏼‍♀️so please know I’m right there with you! 🤪

This January, I made a commitment to move my body at least 30 min a day. Almost 6 weeks into the New Year, I can proudly say I’ve done that. 🙌🏼 Whether a run, walk, cycling, etc. I simply wanted to make sure it was something I could truly commit to because let’s face it...life happens. I’m sure many of you ladies can relate when after taking care of your kids, working a full day (even stay at home mama’s-that’s just as hard as career mama’s), keeping up with the house, laundry, being an Uber for your kids, meals, pets...see where I’m going with this?!? 🤪 We wear a ton of hats...and something we don’t always do, myself included 🙋🏼‍♀️, is take the time to take care of ourselves.

Why is self love so difficult? Have you ever found yourself feeling guilty when you do something for just you? I know I have. You guys, trust me, this is a constant struggle. But when you give and give to and for others, yet neglect to take care of yourself, you actually aren’t able to truly be there 💯 for all your other roles.

For this #throwbackthursday I wanted to share one of my favorite pictures of my 3 girls ready for our evening run. What you don’t see is my oldest son who would ride his bike right ahead of us and our lab who would run next to the stroller. It was a lot of work just to get everyone out the door for our daily runs but I forced myself to do it even when it was the last thing I wanted to do at the moment. Why? Because I knew afterwards how good I would feel. Not just physically but even emotionally and spiritually. The best part...I was able to do something for me with the ones I love dearly and I set the ground work at a young age for my children to learn the importance of self love. ✨What things do you all do to ensure you’re taking care of yourself?

xoxo,
